Wifite

An automated Wi-Fi hacking and security assessment tool, that streamlines the process of capturing wireless packets, deciphering intricate security protocols, and fortifying networks against potential threats.

Quickstart

wget https://raw.github.com/derv82/wifite/master/wifite.py
chmod +x wifite.py
sudo ./wifite.py

Usage

sudo wifite

  • Starts wifite and puts card into monitor mode for you

  • 'ctrl c' and select the target network

  • 'ctrl c' and then 'c' to continue

  • ls, and there is a "hs" dir, cd into it

  • /usr/share/hashcat-utils/cap2hccapx.bin longasshandhakefilename.cap wpa2.hccapx (it might be .hcc22000)

  • import new file into Hashcat
